Strait of Hormuz, “as precious as an atomic bomb”, says an adviser to Mojtaba Khamenei. The country Iran wants to punish

An adviser to the Iranian Supreme Leader said on Friday that the strategic Strait of Hormuz, one of the stakes in negotiations with the United States, represents “an opportunity as precious as an atomic bomb”, reports AFP, taken over by Agerpres.
“We have neglected the privilege of the Strait of Hormuz for years. The Strait of Hormuz represents an opportunity as precious as an atomic bomb,” said Mohammad Mokhber, adviser to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, in a video broadcast by Iran's Mehr news agency.
“Having in your hands a position that allows you to influence the world economy through a single decision is a major opportunity,” he commented, promising that “the gains of this war will not be lost under any circumstances.”
He evoked the possibility of changing the legal regime of the strait “on the basis of international law” or, if necessary, “based on our national law”.
Asked about the United Arab Emirates, a Washington ally that says it continues to be attacked by Iran, Mokhber said: “They have been punished and they will be punished more.”
“They have not stopped claiming that their country is a safe haven for investments, but today we are witnessing the biggest capital flight from this country,” said the Iranian adviser.
