The Dutch Ministry of Defense announced that the army had raised its level of alert on Wednesday due to an “increased threat” and the possibility of sabotage near the country's borders. This means that military personnel must intensify the supervision of suspicious persons and vehicles, as well as drones, informs AFP, taken by news.ro.
The analysis of threats by the Mivd spy agency indicates that “other countries are increasingly prepared to engage in sabotage activities, including near the Dutch border,” a Ministry of Defense statement said.
“The level of the level is also related to the growing threats in Europe,” the Ministry of Defense reports, which states that at present, there is no concrete threat against a military site.
The Netherlands has been at the “Alpha” alert level since Russia invaded Ukraine, but the measure of Wednesday passes the army on “Alpha Plus”, which means “increased threats” in Europe.
Alpha Plus is the second level of a six-level evaluation system that goes up to level D, which means that “a targeted attack is imminent or has taken place.”
