The head of the National Fiscal Administration Agency, Adrian Nica, announced on Sunday on Antena 3 that the institution intends to launch a platform, “we internally call it the ANAF's OLX”, where Romanians will be able to buy the goods seized by the Fisc.
The official said that it is about a project from PNRR.
“With the goods we are confiscating, we now have in the project, and we have a project in the PNRR, to design a platform, we internally call it the “OLX of the ANAF”, because we want to make this whole process transparent,” declared the head of the Tax Office.
Adrian Nica said that when ANAF confiscates goods, the agency first meets “with colleagues from ANPC and the other consumer protection institutions to check if the confiscated goods meet the conditions to be put into consumption”.
“After that, we are working on this platform, where we will make transparent everything we sell, more precisely, put everything we confiscate on this platform so that any Romanian can have access to buy it, and this myth that “at ANAF certain products are sold underhanded” will also fall. We will make absolutely everything transparent in this area of the sale of the goods that we confiscate”, added Nica.
ANAF controls in the clothing trade: “We confiscated the related goods of 30 warehouses”
Adrian Nica said that “ANAF had an extensive action in one of the country's largest complexes. There we checked 1,100 warehouses, it was an extensive action.”
“We confiscated the goods related to 30 warehouses, and at this moment our colleagues are still there and monitoring (…) We are talking about a wholesaler”, he stated.
Nica says that ANAF noticed that “there is an inclination of Romanians to buy online. We have actions with the Antifraud structures in this area”.
“We had an action on the platforms, as a result of this action we confiscated goods and money of over 40 million”, he continued.
What he said about impounding cars
Asked about the statements made a month ago about the luxury cars of the “bombers” and assets that do not match the declared income, the head of ANAF said that then an analysis in this regard began.
“At this stage we are in control of 49 people and we still have another 300 in the process of analysis. We have not seized a single car up to this date. We have also observed a phenomenon here from the famous fraudster in Argeș county, who, once ANAF came, until we issue the title, alienates his assets. We thought of a mechanism here as well, in the sense that the people who will buy these assets through purchases that have no substance, that is, they have materiality, I don't send the money, they will also be subject to control. I think, in two weeks, we will present to you how many cars we confiscate,” said Adrian Nica.
