“Your war is not with your neighbors,” warned on Sunday, March 1, the advisor to the UAE president, Anwar Gargash, addressing Iran, in the context of Tehran's response after the joint Israeli-American attack, according to arabnews.
He stated that “Iranian aggression on the Gulf states is a miscalculation and has isolated Iran at a critical moment” and called for accountability.
“Come to your senses (…) and treat your neighbors in a rational and responsible way”, Anwar Gargash relayed, warning against further escalation.
His remarks come shortly after two more series of explosions were heard in Dubai on Sunday morning, amid rising tensions in the region. The Dubai Media Office announced that two people were injured after pieces of drones intercepted by the air force fell, hitting two homes.
Following the incidents, Emirates airline has suspended all flights to and from Dubai until at least 3pm local time on Monday to ensure the safety of passengers and airport infrastructure.
