Since May, the case has been in the High Anti-Corruption Court. Among the accused are Mykolaiv Deputy Mayor Serhiy Korenev and six heads of private companies. Among them is Odesa City Council member Maryna Lozovenko, currently the head of the Kyiv district administration.
We will remind you that back in 2019, the Department of the Mykolaiv City Council announced a tender for the reconstruction of Cathedral Square. In the course of the pre-trial investigation, it became clear that city hall officials, abusing their official position, in a prior collusion with the directors of private companies, secured the victory in the tender to a predetermined company, which performed the work. However, according to the results of the examination, it was established that the works were carried out at inflated prices. As a result, the budget suffered losses of almost UAH 27 million.
All the participants of this corruption conspiracy have been released on bail and are quietly going about their business. “Jewish manses” ask whether this case will be brought to a verdict.
