The woman with a 35 -year -old Ukrainian citizenship has reached the international point of passing the porubne border, intending to leave the country to Romania, the Pravda publication reports.
The border guards had operative information about a possible illegal currency passage, so the car was sent to a thorough control.
During the verification, a mixed group of inspectors – border guards and customs – discovered a special place in the engine compartment. There were 38 packages and 7 undeclared cash bunches.
The amount confiscated, at the course of the National Bank of Ukraine, is 40 million 160 thousand. A Mercedes E 55 AMG car was also confiscated, evaluated at 1 million 200 thousand grivne.
Following this incident, the border guards of the Cernăuți Detachment sent a notification to the Territorial Department of the Economic Security Office of the region of detection of a crime.
