– We are in the middle of a war; probably at the beginning of the war, Bannon said. – This is, of course, the decision of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. But he must have the support of the people. And for this you need all the information. It is you who must be convinced that it is right. Especially now, when we are on the eve of the potential deployment of American combat troops, said the host of the War Room podcast, addressing the conference participants.

“Your sons, daughters, granddaughters and grandnephews may end up on Khark Island or may maintain a foothold near the Strait of Hormuz,” he added.

– But while there is a debate about who is right and who is wrong about what will happen (…) we have work to do – he emphasized. He also emphasized that such a debate is necessary.

He called on guests to get involved in public life on the eve of the fall midterm presidential elections. – And we will win. We will keep the House of Representatives, the Senate. And President Trump will return to mass deportations (…). We have the right policy, but we need determination to finish what we started, he added.

Bannon managed Trump's first-term campaign and later served as White House chief strategist. Bannon's appearance at CPAC drew criticism from some in the community over his documented ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Bannon has not been charged with any crimes.

Recently on a podcast, Bannon said that if the war with Iran drags on, it could cost Republicans a drop in support ahead of the November election.

President Trump is considering sending an additional 10,000 to the Middle East. soldiers, which would allow for the expansion of military options towards Iran – reported the Wall Street Journal. The deployment of these forces would indicate a greater likelihood of a land operation on Iranian territory – noted the Washington Examiner.

Airstrikes by Israeli and US forces on Iran have been ongoing since February 28. In response, Tehran attacks Israel and several countries in the Persian Gulf region, hitting both American bases and civilian facilities located there.
