Until then, Benczak will be the president in the scope provided for in the provisions. The mandate will cover from September 25 this year. As part of the common term of office of the management board for 2023–2025.

Bogdan Benczak at the head of PZU. Who is the new president of the company?
– Sticking the company with which I was associated from the beginning of my managerial career is an honor for me, privilege and fulfillment of my dreams. My goal is to restore the PZU position of the undisputed insurance market leader, achieve the goals of the strategy and transformation of organizational culture so that all employees and partners can be proud of our brand – said Benczak after the nomination.
From September 25, the Management Board of PZU SA will create a seven-member composition: Bogdan Benczak, Elżbieta Häuser-Schöneich, Tomasz Kulik, Tomasz Tarkowski, Jan Zimowicz, Bartosz Grześkowiak and Maciej Fedyna.

Benczak is a legal advisor, a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Warsaw, as well as postgraduate studies at the Academy of Economics in Krakow and the MBA program of the University of Gdańsk. He has been associated with the financial industry in Poland and the Baltic countries for many years.
In the years 2008–2017 he performed key functions in the PZU group, including as the president of PZU Lietuva and PZU Lietuva Gyvybes Draudimas and Aas Balta.
Later, he sat on the boards of AB Lietuvos Draudimas and Ergo Insurance SE / Ergo Life Insurance SE, and in the years 2023–2024 he was managed by ADB Gjensidige Lietuva. In February 2025 he returned to the PZU group as a managing director for corporate affairs.
Currently, chairs the PZU Zdrowie Supervisory Board and PZU companies in Lithuania and Ukraine, and also sits on the supervisory boards of the Polish National Foundation and Link4 TU SA.
