If you want something warm, cheesy and homemade, but don’t have the energy to bother with dough, proofing or the oven, don’t worry. This pie is made in a frying pan, no kneading, no yeast, and so easy that even a teenager can do it. The result is tender, cheesy, with a golden crust.
Ingredients:
Eggs – 2 pcs.
Kefir or yogurt – 200 ml
Flour – 180 g
Hard cheese – 200 g
Soda – ½ tsp.
Salt – a pinch
Vegetable oil – for frying
How to cook:
- In a bowl, beat eggs with salt, add kefir and flour sifted with soda. Knead a homogeneous dough, like thick sour cream.
- Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
- Pour half the dough into a heated frying pan with oil, immediately sprinkle with half the cheese.
- Top with remaining dough, then remaining cheese.
- Cover and cook over medium heat for 10-12 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
- Carefully flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
Serve hot with tomato sauce or sour cream. This pie is soft even after a day if stored in a container.
Bon appetit!
