Poland has a chance to become an important player on the logistic map of Europe. In Sławków in Silesia, the largest reloading hub will be created in Europe – Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced during a Monday press conference. The project assumes a significant expansion of the Eurothenticus Sławków, which is to bring to Poland measurable benefits.
The Prime Minister announced that the Industrial Development Agency (ARP) and partners will invest in the expansion of the terminal infrastructure, which will almost double its current possibilities. Currently, Euroterminal serves about 285 thousand. TEU (standard containers) per year, but after the expansion of transhipment capacity will increase to over 500,000. Teu.
– I will say without exaggeration that here, in Sławków in Silesia, in Poland, we will have the largest logistics hub of this type in Europe. This is not only a matter of records, but also a golden interest for Poland – emphasized the prime minister.
The key importance of Polish control
One of the government's priorities is to maintain Polish control over strategic logistics points, such as Eurotheminal Sławków. The terminal, located at the interface between the wide -gauge railway line (1520 mm) and standard -gauge lines (1435 mm), plays a key role in the transport of goods between Asia and Western Europe.

Poland wants to earn on the reconstruction of Ukraine
The Prime Minister does not hide that one of the main goals of the investment is the use of the terminal potential in the reconstruction of Ukraine after the war. – We want to earn great money for Poland on the reconstruction of Ukraine. This is nothing wrong. We want to help, but we also want to earn on it – said Tusk.
According to the premiere of Euroterminal Sławków, it has a chance to become a key transhipment point for goods from all over Asia, including China. “I don't have to explain to anyone how great it is for us all,” he added.
Donald Tusk reminded that Poland could not repeat the mistakes of the past, when other countries benefited from the reconstruction of the post -war Iraq, and Poland was omitted. – If we are talking about dozens, hundreds of billions of zlotys, which the world, Europe, Poland and Ukraine will spend on the reconstruction of Ukraine, then, among other things, we are expanding this logistics node, so that Poland can earn on it – he concluded.
The expansion of the Eurothenticus Sławków is a strategic investment that can make Poland one of the most important players in European logistics. The scale of the project and its potential economic benefits show that the government focuses on long -term solutions that are to bring measurable profits in both national and international context.
