Maximum fuel prices for Thursday. The Minister of Energy announced the rates

In accordance with applicable regulations, the Ministry of Energy publishes announcements on maximum prices every business day.

The established rate becomes effective from the day following its announcement in Monitor Polski, and in the case of publication before holidays – it remains in force until the next business day inclusive.
Exceeding the maximum price by fuel sellers is subject to severe sanctions – the fine may amount to up to PLN 1 million. Inspections in this area are carried out by the National Tax Administration.
The maximum fuel prices are determined according to a specific formula, taking into account the average wholesale price on the domestic market, plus excise duty, fuel fee, sales margin of PLN 0.30 per liter and VAT.

These will be the maximum fuel prices on Thursday, April 16
According to the latest announcement of the Minister of Energy, the following maximum fuel prices will apply on Thursday, April 16:
- A liter of 95 petrol will cost no more than PLN 6.8
- a liter of 98 petrol will cost no more than PLN 6.61
- a liter of diesel fuel will cost no more than PLN 7.23.
For comparison, on Wednesday, April 15, a liter of unleaded 95 gasoline may cost no more than PLN 6.16, of 98 gasoline – PLN 6.70, and diesel oil – PLN 7.41.
This means that for a liter of 95 petrol we will pay 8 grosz less, for a liter of 98 petrol 9 grosz less, and for a liter of diesel oil as much as 18 grosz less.
Let us remind you that the maximum fuel price mechanism has been in force since March 31. On the first day of its operation, a liter of EU95 petrol cost a maximum of PLN 6.16, EU98 petrol – PLN 6.76, and diesel oil – PLN 7.60.
