Krasnoyarsk youth have become more active in studying online

Russians under 25 years of age have switched to systematic online education. According to Yota analysts, over the year, Internet traffic on educational services among young users increased by 72%. At the same time, teenagers changed short sessions to full-fledged lessons.

The average duration of one lesson for audiences aged 14–25 has increased more than sixfold.

If in March a year earlier, 16 minutes were enough for them to gain knowledge, now the session lasts on average 1 hour 38 minutes. This is the highest figure among all age groups.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the main interest of young people is focused on studying the school curriculum and preparing for exams – such services account for 92% of the traffic of users under 25 years old. The main demand is generated by the platforms “YaKlass”, “Foxford”, “Uchi.ru”, NES, “Umskul” and “Tetrika”.

The thirst for knowledge reaches its maximum in the autumn months – from September to November, and in the spring – in March and April. At the same time, courses in IT, analytics, marketing and management skills training are in demand among the older generation – from 26 to 35 years old. This is directly reflected in the dynamics of specialized platforms, among which Skillbox and Netology are leaders.

Lectures from universities are no less popular among Russians. Thus, the open lecture hall of Moscow State University and the “Open Education” project, offering courses from the country’s leading universities, increased 2–3 times in March compared to the beginning of the year. Their main audience is also concentrated in groups over 26 years old.

People over 56 are also increasingly studying online. For example, on resources where you can learn a new profession, the volume of traffic in March increased by up to two times.

Moscow leads the ranking of cities in terms of popularity of online education, accounting for almost 20% of traffic. The top also included St. Petersburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Yakutsk, Khabarovsk, Ufa, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg and Kaliningrad.

The MegaFon press service confirmed an increase in traffic to educational resources, including preparation for the Unified State Exam and the Unified State Exam. Compared to last year, the volume of online information has increased by 42%. Also growing in the region interest in services with elements of artificial intelligence. Among users, the share of high school students (14-17 years old) is 4%, students (18-24 years old) – 12%.
