Sikorski revealed what he talked to with Rubio. “I sought an invitation to G20”

On Tuesday in Miami a meeting of deputy prime minister, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski with the Secretary of State of the US Marco Rubio took place. The meeting took place during the awarding of the Solidarity Award Lech Wałęsa awarded to the Cuban oppositionist, Bert Soler Fernandez. On this occasion, Marco Rubio received a special gift from the Polish deputy prime minister.
Radosław Sikorski after meeting Marco Rubio: It would be a success of Nawrocki
After the meeting and awarding the award, Radosław Sikorski met with journalists.
– I am very happy that the Secretary of State appreciated what our embassy in Cuba and we as the government and the prize chapter and Lech Wałęsa do for democracy around the world – said Radosław Sikorski.
-It was also an opportunity to talk about the current agenda of very good Polish-American relations. Of course, there was a question of reviewing American forces in Europe. Here I am convinced that President Karol Nawrocki will support us tomorrow in the White House. The success of his special relations with the Magician movement and President Donald Trump will be if the United States increases their presence in Poland, and the lack of success would be if they reduced it – said the Polish deputy prime minister.
– Due to the fact that Poland entered a group of billion economies, I also tried that the US, being the presidency of the G20 group in 2026, invited us to this group – said Sikorski. – We have the right not only as one of the 20 largest economies in the world, but as a country that presents a political and intellectual argument, because we are a country that has made a successful transformation from planned to free economy. We are an example to follow others – he said.
Another topic raised by the heads of Polish and American diplomacy was the topic of just peace in the war in Ukraine.
Nawrocki did not respond to Sikorski's offer. “Sowing confusion”
Radosław Sikorski also informed that he did not receive an answer to his offer, that he could accompany Karol Nawrocki on Wednesday during a visit to the White House. – I think that this is a departure from good practice from the time of Lech Kaczyński, continued in the time of Andrzej Duda. I think it would be useful for the president if he had a directional minister. We do not understand why the president's advisers are confused and depart from practices that serve the success of the president's visits, for which of course we keep our fingers crossed – said Sikorski.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was asked if there was a doubt that the president would present his foreign policy instead of the one created by the government.
– If it happened, he would represent himself, not all of Poland. And that would be unfortunate – said Sikorski.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also referred to the words of the presidential minister Marcin, who said that the head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is saying “with a characteristic insolence”.
“I wish the President competent advisers,” commented the Polish Deputy Prime Minister's words.
