The case is reported by the British media, led by “Daily Mail” and “The Sun”. A Polish woman living in London was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
Monika K. blackmailed two men. The police found her easily
A Polish woman found both men on a popular British adult website. The first of them, the father of two adult children, was looking for “company”. In October 2024, Monika K., impersonating “Serena”, asked for 40 pounds for gasoline.
Half an hour later she demanded PLN 1,000. pounds, threatening to “make trouble for him”. She sent him photos from his Facebook profile, including photos of children. She also informed that she knew where she lived and worked. The man, terrified, transferred the money. A few weeks later he received another demand, this time the woman asked for £700. This time the man didn't pay. However, this did not end his ordeal.
In May 2025, Monika K. sent a photo of a plaque with the name of the street where her victim lived. The woman sent a message that she had been talking to neighbors, and five minutes later she knocked loudly on the door. The man hid upstairs, paralyzed with fear. On the doorstep he found a handwritten letter demanding another thousand pounds. He paid because he was promised that “all personal data” would be deleted.
Just a few weeks later, the Polish woman knocked on his door again. She changed her image and introduced herself as “Bianca”. “The last girl was too soft,” she said.
I can seriously destroy your life and reputation. If you don't want me to come to your work or home, deposit money into this account. You have until 15.
she said.
In this way, she extorted another 300 pounds. In total, she received PLN 2,000 from the first victim. 300 pounds.
The Pole made a serious mistake
The second man received similar messages in June 2025. The Polish woman knew his daily routine and the fact that he worked from home. She threatened to “destroy her reputation.” The man didn't pay a penny. Instead, he reported the matter to the police.
The fraudster made a serious mistake. The police didn't have to look for her long. She provided her real bank account number in the messages. That was enough to track her down. During the interrogation, Monika K. claimed that it was all a “role play” with the first victim, and that she sent the messages to the second person “by mistake.” The court rejected these explanations.
Rebecca Malczewska, acting as Monika K.'s defense attorney, emphasized the mitigating circumstances. The woman lost her previous job and began providing sexual services for the first time in her life “out of desperation”. During the trial, she was employed as a caregiver. The defense emphasized that a conviction would mean losing his job. In addition, the Pole also broke up with her long-time partner.
— Mrs. Monika K. feels deep shame and regret. He considers these crimes the biggest mistakes of his life, said the lawyer. The court also heard that a possible prison sentence could jeopardize your settlement status in Great Britain.
Judge Suki Dhadda however, she had no doubts about the severity of the punishment. — The victims lived in constant fear. The first man feared for his life. The second one was afraid to go home – we heard in the justification of the sentence passed at Chelmsford Crown Court.
The Polish woman was sentenced to 18 months in prison for blackmail and attempted blackmail. — This type of crime is condemnable. You should be ashamed of yourself, the judge added. — The victims were terrified and under great stress. Only an immediate prison sentence is justified.
