One of the easiest and at the same time nutritious dinners for those who value lightness in the body and restful sleep is baked turkey fillet with broccoli. It cooks faster than rice, contains easily digestible protein, B vitamins and puts almost no strain on digestion. Children eat this kind of turkey willingly, especially if you serve it with yogurt sauce and fresh herbs.
Ingredients:
Turkey fillet – 300 g
Broccoli – 1 small head
Carrots – 1 pc.
Lemon – 2-3 thin slices
Garlic – 1 clove
Olive oil – 1 tbsp. spoon
Salt, black pepper, dried thyme – to taste
Fresh dill or basil, for serving
Preparation:
- Rinse the turkey fillet, pat dry with a paper towel and cut into portions.
- Separate the broccoli into florets, cut the carrots into thin slices.
- In a bowl, combine vegetables with olive oil, spices and minced garlic.
- Place the vegetables on a baking sheet first and the turkey pieces on top. Sprinkle with pepper, drizzle with lemon juice and top with lemon slices.
- Bake in the oven at 200°C for 18–20 minutes until the meat is light golden brown and flakes easily with a fork.
- Sprinkle with fresh herbs before serving.
Such a dinner is digested in 2–3 hours, does not cause bloating and does not interfere with deep sleep. It gives a feeling of slight satiety, supports metabolism thanks to B vitamins and does not add unnecessary stress to the liver. Ideal for the evening, especially if you drink chamomile tea or warm still water.
