KGHM may consider expanding the value chain with new products, in cooperation with Polish science and partners, said the president of KGHM, Remigiusz Paszkiewicz. He said that one of them could be used in the military sector.

“We have serious plans in the near future to consider whether to extend our product line, using the knowledge and experience of Polish universities and institutes, but also partners or a private partner from the industry, to prepare in Poland the production of alloys or metals that are not produced not only in Poland, but in Europe in general,” said the president of KGHM Remigiusz Paszkiewicz during a panel at the European Economic Congress in Katowice.
He said that there may be at least two such products.
“One is extremely important for the military sector, the other is necessary in large quantities for data centers, energy storage, things related to modern technologies and energy transformation,” said the president of KGHM.
“We want to do it with Polish science, with Polish private companies, so as to further protect ourselves against the need for supplies from abroad or outside Europe and have a product that does not yet exist in Europe,” Paszkiewicz added. (PAP Business)
