Yaya Toure's (42-year-old) dislike of Pep Guardiola (54) is no secret, and the former Ivorian midfielder has once again launched harsh criticism of his current coach Manchester City.

The pair first worked together at Barcelona for two years before Toure left for Manchester City in 2010 after a season in which he was used sparingly at Camp Nou.

Yaya Toure slams Guardiola: “I don't see a man, I see a snake”

Yaya enjoyed several years of great success at City, but when Guardiola arrived in Manchester to coach the Citizens in 2016, he was relegated to the bench under the Spaniard and ended up leaving for Olympiakos in 2018.

Yaya Toure began by recalling the moment he left Barcelona. “Then he told me: 'You have to go back, it's important,'” he said.

“My wife said to me: “Are you going to listen to this nonsense? He treated you like trash and now he wants you to stay. We are going to Manchester». That guy humiliated me and wouldn't let me play all year. At the end of the season, I shone at the 2010 World Cup and suddenly he wants to keep me at Barcelona,” Toure continued, according to abola.pt.

The former midfielder then added that his wife always had a negative opinion of Guardiola: “She used to tell me: 'he's not a man, he's a pervert'. She sees him as a negative person.”

Toure left, then spent two less happy years under Pep at Manchester City again, and he doesn't miss it. “I don't see a man, I see a snake,” he stated sharply.
