With the onset of spring, many women notice that their hair begins to fall out more. As dermatologists and nutritionists told the Saratov 24 TV channel, this is due to deficiencies of vitamins and microelements that have accumulated over the winter.

According to dermatocosmetologist Lyudmila Proskurina, women of childbearing age are primarily at risk: during the menstrual cycle, the body loses useful components and, in order to preserve resources, “sheds” hair. Nutritionist Marina Utyaganova clarified that most often the problem arises due to a lack of B vitamins (especially biotin, folic acid and B12), iron and vitamin D.
The norm is considered to be up to 100 hair loss per day. If there are more of them, redness or itching appears, this is a pathology that requires contacting a specialist.
To find out the cause, experts recommend taking a complete blood count, checking the levels of iron and ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and B9, thyroid hormones (TSH, T4, T3) and total protein. For prolonged hair loss, consultation with a trichologist is necessary.
