The court found a resident of Krasnoyarsk with many children guilty of illegally acquiring and storing drugs without the purpose of selling them, and gave her a light punishment.

It was established that in December 2025, a 34-year-old woman bought a prohibited substance via the Internet, which, according to the coordinates sent to her, she found and took from a forest in the Sverdlovsk region. Then she was detained.
At the trial she said that has four children: born in 2009, born in 2022 and two born in 2025. The woman also explained that she had never used drugs and had no desire to do so before, but after the death of her husband in November 2025, left alone with the children, she experienced “terrible stress and grief,” which led her to the decision to try illegal substances.
When passing the sentence, the court took into account the defendant’s active contribution to the investigation of the crime, full admission of guilt and remorse for her crime, as well as the presence of dependent young children, property status and current life circumstances. In this regard, according to Part 1 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, she was given a fine of 10,000 rubles, the joint press service of the regional courts said.
Let us note that the sanction of this article provides for the following types of punishment: a fine of up to 40 thousand rubles, or compulsory labor for up to 480 hours, or correctional labor for up to 2 years, or restriction of freedom for up to 3 years, or imprisonment for the same period.
