Niewiadów – PGM concluded a framework agreement with Northrop Grumman, Elaboracja Niewiadów and Zakłady Sprzętu Precyzyjnego Niewiadów, specifying the principles of cooperation in the production of 155 mm artillery ammunition – the company said in a press release.

The agreement sets out the principles of cooperation between the parties in the preparation, production, certification and marketing of 155 mm artillery ammunition, which is currently at an advanced stage of preparation for the certification process, in particular intended for the European market.
The framework agreement enables the integration of Northrop Grumman's advanced production technologies with the production potential and experience of Niewiadów Polska Grupa Militarna companies, creating the basis for both the development of production in Poland and joint market initiatives in offering ready-made solutions – said Adam Januszko, president of Niewiadów Polska Grupa Militarna, quoted in the press release.
Northrop Grumman is an international manufacturer of artillery ammunition and its components, operating in the defense sector.
As reported, the cooperation includes the use of ADI (Austempered Ductile Iron) technology in the process of producing artillery shell bodies. This technology allows for performance parameters comparable to those of steel, while shortening the implementation time, facilitating structural modifications and the possibility of scaling production to large volumes.
Niewiadów Group signed a memorandum of cooperation with Northrop Grumman in September 2025.
The press release stated that the parties are interested in further development of cooperation and the use of opportunities arising from the combination of technologies with the European industrial base. (PAP Business)
