Modern technologies are rapidly penetrating everyday life, including what was previously considered ordinary. At the international exhibition CES 2026 (18+) in the USA, an innovative “smart” toilet was presented that can not only provide comfort, but also help monitor health, reports the portal pg12.ru (18+).
The exhibition featured a device that analyzes biomaterials using a camera and microphone – computer vision and artificial intelligence technologies record parameters such as the quality and texture of the stool. All data is collected automatically in real time, and the results can be transmitted via the Internet for further analysis.
The founder of the project, co-founder of a well-known manufacturer of fitness trackers, explains that such a system can warn the user of potential health problems without visiting a laboratory. The device can operate for up to a month on a single charge and records every visit to the toilet, creating a dynamic picture of the body’s condition.
Such “smart” toilets are already becoming standard in the premium segment: they include health analysis, UV sterilization and water saving functions. For example, leading Japanese models are equipped with heated seats, adjustable water pressure, a built-in fan and a deodorant.
In Russia, such technologies have not yet become widespread, but the trend towards integrating smart solutions into bathrooms is noticeable. For example, in modern bathroom renovations, touch-sensitive faucets with memory settings, mirrors with displays and adjustable lighting are increasingly appearing.
According to experts, smart systems are gradually shifting the focus from traditional plumbing use to automated health monitoring and comfort, making the bathroom part of the home of the future.
