President Nicușor Dan said on Thursday morning to the reporters waiting for him in front of the house that the most important thing after discussing with his American counterpart is the continuation of the Strategic Partnership between the US and Romania.
Before leaving for his meeting with businessmen scheduled in Cotroceni at 9 o'clock, Dan confirmed the invitation to the United States, made by President Donald Trump, reports TVR Info.
“Yes, I confirm,” said Dan, asked by journalists if he was invited to go to the US during the conversation with Trump.
“The most important thing, after this discussion, is that our partnership will continue. This is the most important thing,” said Nicușor Dan, greeting the appointment of a new US ambassador to Bucharest.
“The fact that he was called an ambassador is a very good thing, I thanked the president (Trump, no) for this,” said the president.
