In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, an ex-policeman and a bank employee are suspected of stealing money from the widow of a SVO participant (video)

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a former district police officer in the Kozulsky district is suspected of fraud committed using his official position on an especially large scale. According to investigators, a bank employee became an accomplice in the crime.

It was established that in October 2024, the defendants learned about the death of a local resident – a participant in a special military operation – and the payments due to his wife. The policeman asked the widow to give him money under the guise of a loan. On January 17, 2025, the woman went to the bank, where, with the assistance of an employee, she received cash, part of which in the amount of 2 million rubles she gave to the district police officer.

“The policeman disposed of the funds at his own discretion and had no intention of returning them“, – said the Investigative Committee.

The suspects were detainedThe former district police officer was given a preventive measure in the form of detention.

In relation to the persons involved in depending on the role and degree of participation in the crime criminal cases have been initiated under Part 4, Part 5 of Art. 33, part 4 art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the investigation is ongoing.
