The statement about the “attack” on Putin shows that the Russian Federation is an obstacle to peace

The material was published with the headline: “The statement about the “attack” on Putin shows that the Russian Federation is the only obstacle to peace.” This is what Trump copied into his post.

The article itself states that after the meeting between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Trump at the Mar-a-Lago residence on December 28, cautious optimism emerged.

In particular, the Ukrainian president made compromises as part of the “peace plan,” and Trump said that the end of the war was “closer than ever” and announced his readiness to visit Ukraine.

However, Putin chose a lie in response – he announced to the Kremlin an alleged drone attack on the residence of the illegitimate president of the Russian Federation, without providing any evidence, NYP noted. In addition, Zelensky resolutely denied reports of an alleged attack by Ukraine.

According to the publication, there were most likely no drone strikes at all – we are talking about a fictitious story designed to give Russia a reason to disrupt the progress made by Trump

As at the meeting in Alaska, “Putin was offered peace, but he chose to spit in America’s face,” the material says.

NYP indicates that the Russian Federation supports Iran, the regime of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, and also cooperates with the DPRK (a Russian cargo ship from the “shadow fleet” that sank off the coast of Spain last year was probably transporting nuclear components to North Korea).

Around the world, Russia is opposing Trump's policies, so the answer should not be more concessions, but “tougher measures,” the article says. NYP noted that Ukraine has done its part of the “peace plan”, and now it’s Putin’s turn – either he takes a step forward, or faces tougher sanctions and increased military assistance to Ukraine from the United States.

Context

The alleged attack by Kyiv on a residence in the Novgorod region (officially called “Long Beards”, but better known as “Valdai” – after the name of the city of the same name, 20 km from which it is located) was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov. According to him, “attack” committed on the night of December 29. Edition “GORDON” analyzed this version of the Kremlin and came to the conclusion that it seems like an attempt to justify a lie Putin to Trump.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga indicated that Russia did not provide no convincing evidence their accusations regarding the alleged “attack on Putin’s residence,” since no such attack took place.

On December 29, Trump told reporters that he was “very angry” when Putin told him about the alleged Ukrainian drone attack. He added that American intelligence agencies will find out whether there is evidence of an attack. “Are you saying that perhaps there was no attack? That’s also possible, I think. But President Putin told me this morning that it happened,” Trump said.

On December 30, Zelensky noted that the statement of the Russian authorities about the alleged “Ukrainian attack” on Putin’s residence could appear after a successful conversation about the war in Ukraine by the presidents of the United States and Ukraine.
