In particular, the Ukrainian president made compromises as part of the “peace plan,” and Trump said that the end of the war was “closer than ever” and announced his readiness to visit Ukraine.
However, Putin chose a lie in response – he announced to the Kremlin an alleged drone attack on the residence of the illegitimate president of the Russian Federation, without providing any evidence, NYP noted. In addition, Zelensky resolutely denied reports of an alleged attack by Ukraine.
According to the publication, there were most likely no drone strikes at all – we are talking about a fictitious story designed to give Russia a reason to disrupt the progress made by Trump
