

We are talking about the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, which transports about 80% of Kazakh oil exported to the West, the leader in oil production in Kazakhstan – the Tengizchevroil company and the project for the development of Karachaganak oil sources.
The permit covers operations involving Rosneft and Lukoil, as well as their subsidiaries, if they are related to the three above-mentioned entities.
Radio Azattyk notes that OFAC's decision gives Russians more time to sell assets. The sanctioned Russian companies in these three projects are working together with Western oil giants, in particular Chevron and ExxonMobil.
The ban on the sale or transfer of shares in the projects themselves remains.
