If you want to grow tomatoes that everyone will eat fresh from the garden, choose sweet and forgiving hybrids.
The best varieties:
- Red cherry is a small, but very sugary berry. This hybrid is resistant to temperature changes and is rarely affected by late blight.
- Golden bunch is one of the earliest varieties. It has a honey taste and thin skin. Suitable for both salads and drying.
- Sweet cherry is a determinate variety, that is, it bears fruit continuously until autumn. The fruits are dense, do not crack, and withstand transportation well.
Plant seedlings at the end of May in a sunny area where there are no drafts or dampness. Before planting, it is better to mix the soil with humus and wood ash. Watering is required warm and regular, especially on dry days.
Within a month and a half after transplanting, you will be able to collect the first ripe clusters and enjoy a sweet harvest all summer long.
