Children from Krasnoyarsk will be offered 800 additional trips to country camps

More than 800 additional places will be created in Krasnoyarsk country children's camps in 2026. The mayor's office spoke about this.

Issues of modernizing institutions in preparation for the next health season were discussed at an off-site meeting with the participation of deputies of the City Council, which was chaired by First Deputy Head of the city Alexey Shuvalov. The event took place on the territory of the Berezka health camp near Krasnoyarsk. The camp has not functioned for 15 years due to accidents; now they are preparing to welcome guests again – they are installing two residential buildings, a medical unit and a canteen.

“The new buildings are designed for 60 people each. Inside there are showers for boys and girls, and boilers are installed. Objects are adapted for people with limited mobility. The medical block, dining room and dormitory buildings are equipped with heated floors with temperature sensors and operate autonomously,” said Yevgeny Zhukov, a representative of the contracting organization.

All objects will be assembled using modular technology. The camp area will also be landscaped for the upcoming season, a security system will be installed, and the buildings will be equipped with new furniture and equipment. For active recreation of children there will be a sports ground, a club and gazebos.

“The first shift should arrive at the Beryozka country camp in July next year. Deputies raised the issue of reconstructing this camp, and now we are constantly monitoring the process. The city has a very large demand for children's summer holidays. Therefore, the restoration of Beryozka will be very useful. In addition, warm buildings will appear here, which means it will be possible to take children here in the winter,” noted City Council deputy Olga Kurygina.

Next summer, 360 children will be able to relax at Beryozka over three full shifts.​

“The governor of the region sets the task of improving the infrastructure and conditions for recreational recreation for children. Therefore, with financial support from the regional budget, we are carrying out systematic work in this direction regarding the modernization of municipal camps. Currently, in parallel, various projects to improve conditions for children's recreation are being implemented not only in Beryozka, but also in Taiga, Cosmos, and Summer camp. The new facilities that will appear there will make it possible to cover a larger number of children with recreation,” said First Deputy Head of the city Alexey Shuvalov.

We would like to add that one of the residential buildings at the Cosmos camp, which has not been used since 2006, is currently being restored. Due to this, next season the camp will be able to accommodate another 320 children. In the Taezhny camp, a modular catering building with a dining room for 300 seats was installed in 2024, and they plan to complete the installation of another dining room there this year. Two new modular residential buildings are being built at the Leto camp.

The continuation of work on updating children's camps is reflected in the draft budget for the next three years, which has already been submitted to the City Council for consideration. Next year, families from territories annexed to Krasnoyarsk will also be able to submit applications for summer holidays for children in municipal camps.​
