Thanks to vigilant Krasnoyarsk residents, utility workers caught the “black sewer truck” red-handed

In April, the security service of the KrasCom company conducted three raids on unauthorized discharge points for liquid household waste (LMW).

The inspection route was drawn up based on complaints from Krasnoyarsk residents who sent to KrasKom photo and video evidence of sewage being discharged by drivers of pumping equipment in prohibited places on the left bank of Krasnoyarsk.

The first address chosen was st. The guardhouse, where the sewer technological chamber is located. Despite the periodic blocking of the hatches, the “black sewer trucks” secretly broke into the well and drained the contents of the barrels pumped out from the septic tanks and cesspools of private houses in old Pokrovka.

The man, caught red-handed, told security officers that he was renting a pumping machine from another private individual, in whose name, according to police, about 40 units of such municipal equipment were registered.

Since, according to the law, the owner of a sewage disposal machine cannot be held accountable, documents for a fine at the Ministry of Ecology were issued to the direct violator of the rules for operating the city’s sewerage system and environmental legislation.

“The price of a five-minute journey from Karaulnaya Street to the official collection point on Maerchak will cost the driver at least 20 thousand rubles for causing harm to the environment,” notes Oleg Goncherov, general director of KrasKom. “But our common goal with the Ministry of Ecology is not punishment, but preserving the cleanliness of the environment.” To do this, we have created all the conditions for entrepreneurs to conduct their sewage disposal business honestly. Today, the city has three drainage stations that fully cover the need for reception and further treatment of liquid household waste from the private sector of Krasnoyarsk, including new territories.”

Residents of individual houses can also make their contribution to preserving the environment if they use the services of conscientious sewer trucks who deliver pumped concrete waste only to drainage stations. A list of environmentally responsible entrepreneurs is available on the KrasCom website.
