Specialized snow removal equipment clears tracks of snow at large stations and snow-covered sections of the Krasnoyarsk Mainline.

Over the past two days alone, almost 160 thousand cubic meters of snow were removed from the territory of more than 20 stations – this volume is comparable to approximately 6 thousand dump trucks. Station tracks are cleaned using snow removal and pneumatic blowing machines.

Powerful snow plows, large snow plows, and self-propelled snow removal trains operate on the stages. In total, in two days they covered more than 1.1 thousand km.

On the Trans-Siberian section of the Krasnoyarsk Railway, the largest volume of work was carried out at the stations Kiya-Shaltyr, Novaya Elovka, Kozulka, Zeledeevo and Kemchug. On the Southern route Mezhdurechensk – Taishet, cleaning was carried out at stations located in the foothills of the Sayan Mountains – Khabzas, Nankhchul and Teba (Khakassia and Kemerovo region).

The vehicles were also used on mountain stretches from Koshurnikovo to Shchetinkino and on the northern branches of the Krasnoyarsk Railway Achinsk – Lesosibirsk and Reshoty – Karabula (Krasnoyarsk Territory).

In total, there are 70 units of specialized snow removal equipment in the KrasRussian Railways fleet. If necessary, the vehicles are kept on a 24-hour watch, which is an additional measure to ensure the uninterrupted and safe movement of trains.

360 highway employees are involved in snow removal work. In addition, there are another 40 specialists in the reserve who have undergone special training and the necessary instructions to work in the extreme winter conditions of Siberia.
