Bus traffic through the Shegini-Medika checkpoint on the border with Poland will not be limited in the summer. The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine reported this on June 11 in Telegram.
The day before, Ukrainian customs officers reported that on June 15, repair work on the bus lane entering Poland would begin at the checkpoint and that buses from Ukraine to Poland through Shegini-Medika would not be carried out. The work was to be completed by November 2027.
The Ministry of Development said that Ukraine had agreed with the Polish side to postpone the suspension of traffic.
“As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to ensure the registration of buses for the summer season, even in the conditions of repair work,” the message says.
The ministry promised to provide additional information about possible changes in the organization of the movement.
