It all starts with a bad word; there can be no surprise that “Molotov cocktails” will be thrown if there is no reaction to the words that people are “weeds” – says the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty. In his opinion, PiS wants to be as radical as possible at the moment to defeat the Confederation.

On Friday, at the door of the building at ul. Wiejska, which houses, among others, headquarters of the Civic Platform – according to witnesses – someone tried to throw the so-called Molotov cocktail. The perpetrator who set fire to the bottle was to be pushed away and the bottle should break in front of the entrance.

Commenting on the incident on Saturday, Czarzasty said that everything starts with a bad word. – If you, as Kaczyński (president of PiS – PAP), do not react to such words that people are weeds, if you do not react to the fact that people should be hit with napalm, then there is nothing surprising in the fact that in a moment stones and “Molotov cocktails” will be thrown in many places – said the deputy speaker of the Sejm, who is taking part in the Provincial Congress of Nowa Huta in Gdańsk. Left.

The deputy marshal referred to the words of right-wing activist Robert Bąkiewicz, who said a week ago during a Law and Justice rally: – Don't be afraid of prosecutors' offices and courts, these people will pay the price (…) justice must come, these weeds must be pulled out of the Polish soil and napalm should be thrown on this land so that they will never grow back.

When asked by journalists why PiS was leaving the matter without comment, Czarzasty said that “it suits them.”

– Because Kaczyński wants to be as radical as possible at the moment. He wants to defeat the Confederation. Therefore, he exhibits (…) such as Bąkiewicz. These people simply allow such words, it is simple logic – he said.

When asked to assess the actions of the government coalition two years after the parliamentary elections, Czarzasty stated that he believed in the coalition.

– I believe that the balance sheet of this coalition will be positive and it is largely positive. If we lose faith in ourselves, faith in the coalition, nothing will come of it, he said.

The co-chairman of the New Left also emphasized that this is only the halfway point of the current government's term of office.

– When it comes to things of a fundamental nature, look what inflation is like. Remember, this inflation was 20 percent. Please see what the economic growth is – 3.5%. at the moment. Please see what happened with the funds, as far as the KPO is concerned, they were received – said the co-chairman of the New Left.

He also noted that the government had implemented 12 acts of importance to his party, including: widow's pension act.

– There are two fundamental issues left: the issue of partnerships, with which, in my opinion, we made a huge step forward yesterday. Some people may not like it, others may like it. I think this is a step forward. There remains the issue of abortion. We still have two years for this. I give you a guarantee that when it comes to civil partnerships, these matters will be dealt with by this Sejm – assured Czarzasty.

On Friday, in the Sejm, representatives of PSL and the Left presented details of the government's bill on the status of the closest person in a relationship and a cohabitation agreement. The project regulates, among others: issues of property relations, the right to housing and alimony, and access to medical information.

On Saturday, during the Provincial Congress of the New Left in Gdańsk, the authorities of the Pomeranian party structures will be elected for the next four years. (PAP)
