At the All-Russian Hospitality Forum, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov met with the delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia led by the country's Deputy Prime Minister Varazdat Minosyan. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in education, tourism, culture and sports.
“The President of Russia set us the task of developing tourism as one of the key sectors of the regional economy in the center of Russia. We are actively working on this: we have prepared a special regional program and are attracting federal resources to create comfortable conditions for travelers. I am sure that you will be able to see our natural beauty and experience Siberian hospitality. Together we will identify joint projects that will increase the flow of tourists from Krasnoyarsk to the shores of the Black Sea, and residents of Abkhazia to the very center of Russia,” noted Mikhail Kotyukov.

This is the first official visit of the republic's leadership to the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It coincided with the holding of the All-Russian Hospitality Forum in the capital of the region, which was attended by more than a thousand experts in the field of tourism and service. Varazdat Minosyan noted that the participation of the Abkhaz delegation in the forum will improve the level of service in the republic.
“To develop tourism, we need to improve service and create comfort for guests. We will be glad to see more residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in our Republic. I hope our meeting will contribute to strengthening interstate relations,” added Varazdat Minosyan.
Mikhail Kotyukov invited guests to join cultural, sports and youth projects in the region. The governor also noted that over the past year, trade turnover between Abkhazia and the Krasnoyarsk Territory increased by 15%, and expressed confidence in the further expansion of economic cooperation.
