Mix the zucchini in these spices and put it in the oven. A recipe for a dish that people ask to cook again and again.

Ukrainian culinary YouTube blogger Ivan Yanyuk told how to cook incredibly tasty zucchini in the oven during the season.

“These zucchini ask to be cooked again and again. I cook it while it’s in season,” he noted.

Yanyuk assured: the dish turns out juicy, tasty and very tender.

Ingredients:

  • two medium zucchini;
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika with a heap;
  • salt and black pepper – to taste;
  • 20 g vegetable oil.

For spreading:

  • 100 g mayonnaise;
  • 100 g hard cheese (mozzarella, suluguni or any favorite);
  • four cloves of garlic;
  • 10 g fresh dill;
  • salt and pepper – to taste.

Preparation

  1. Wash the zucchini, trim the tails and cut into slices about 1.5 cm thick. Place in a deep bowl. Add smoked paprika, salt, pepper and pour in a little vegetable oil. Mix well.
  2. Preheat the oven to +180°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment and place the zucchini in a single layer. Bake for 15 minutes.
  3. Prepare the spread: grate the cheese, add mayonnaise. Squeeze or grate the garlic. Finely chop the dill and add to the mixture. Add salt, pepper and mix well.
  4. Remove zucchini from oven. Spread the cheese-garlic mixture onto each piece. Return to the oven for another minute and a half, just until the cheese has melted and browned a little.
  5. Serve hot.

“The cheese is stretchy – that’s what I wanted. It’s so tender and garlicky – it’s very, very tasty,” Yanyuk described the taste of the zucchini.
