A suspect in the murder of a 17-year-old Ukrainian in Ireland asked for urgent psychiatric help


A 17-year-old Somali teenager, who has been charged with the murder of a Ukrainian, must be helped in custody. The suspect's lawyer filed a corresponding petition.

However, he did not apply for bail.

The Somali teenager, whose name has not been released due to his age, was taken to a remand center in Dublin. He is due in court on October 21.

Context

Davydenko was fatally stabbed on October 13 at the Children and Family Agency (Tusla) in Dublin. He had recently graduated from school in Kyiv and arrived in Ireland about three days before he was killed.

The media wrote that the Ukrainian dreamed of becoming a cyber specialist and fighting the aggressor country Russia.

There was a fight between the deceased and the suspect. Despite the efforts of doctors, the Ukrainian teenager could not be saved. The Somali suspect was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. On October 17, he was arrested and suspected of murder.
