Zelenogorsk Electrochemical Plant opened a new season of excursions and technical tutors for students and schoolchildren

JSC “PO” Electrochemical Plant “(the enterprise of the fuel division” Rosatom “in ZATO Zelenogorsk Krasnoyarsk Territory) develops cooperation not only with specialized industry universities and loans, but also with regional educational institutions, conducts active career guidance work with schoolchildren.

One of the effective forms of acquaintance is technical and excursions for young people to an enterprise where ECP workers directly in the existing production talk about the specifics of the atomic giant and employment prospects.

The relevance of this work lies in the fact that large -scale projects are implemented at the electrochemical plant and engineering and working personnel according to a whole spectrum of specialties are required for their implementation. Last year, 14 such events took place in which both students and teachers from Moscow, Seversk, Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk and Kansk, and schoolchildren of Zelenogorsk participated.

The new season of excursions started. Since the beginning of 2025, the ECHZ has already been visited by representatives of the Physics and Mathematics-boarding school of the Siberian Federal University and students of the engineering classes of school No. 161 and the Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 174. Next in line in April, guests from the Institute of Machine Studies and Mechatire State University of Science and Technology named after M.F. Reshetneva and the Institute of Engineering Physics and Radio Electronics of the Siberian Federal University.

During the tours, an objective conversation takes place – young people are looking at potential employers, and factory workers try to see future colleagues in the guys.

To attract promising personnel at the enterprise, a whole range of support measures has been developed: targeted contracts, learning schemes for students who are ready to combine study and work, a scholarship program, paid practice and a number of other areas from the third year. When hiring, the youth receives “lifting” and material assistance for the arrangement of everyday life, 90 % of the cost of renting housing, solid compensation for the interest rate on mortgages, etc. are compensated.

For its part, the leadership of educational institutions is ready to adjust training courses in accordance with the needs of the ECP, as well as participate in joint scientific activity. In particular, a group of students for training under the “Nuclear Physics and Technology” program corresponding to the need of ECHZ was recruited in the Siberian State Siberian Railway. And in the Zelenogorsk College of Industrial Technologies and Service, two specialties are opened in the preparation of Cipia and RSia locksmiths and RBISSI also exclusively for the needs of the electrochemical plant.
