Hieronymus Bosch, also known as Jérôme Bosch, was born in 1450 in the city of Bois-le Duc in Flanders, where he painted gothic enigmatic paintings until his death, in 1516.

In Europe of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, marked by religious crises, Jérôme Bosch has shown an extraordinary inventiveness, which still intrigues the specialists into the Flemish art. These symbolic visions inspired a series of super -realistic artists, from Max Ernst to Salvador Dalí, who found in it a favorable land for the fears of the unconscious.
