His body with a gunshot wound to the head was found in a Lamborghini on the streets of Kiev. Initial findings indicate that Kudo may have taken his own life due to Friday's crypto market crash. On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the body of a 32-year-old man was found in Kiev. He turned out to be Konstantin Hanich, known as Kostya Kudo – a popular Ukrainian blogger and entrepreneur from the cryptocurrency industry. Media in Ukraine, citing the police press service, report that the death is being investigated under Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding intentional murder, but the case is treated as “suicide”.
Preliminary findings indicate that Kudo may have taken his own life due to financial problems after the sudden crash on the cryptocurrency market that followed Donald Trump's Friday entry about introducing a 100% tariffs on all “critical software” and goods from China. The US president caused a market panic that caused 1.6 million investors to lose $19 billion in 24 hours. Media reports that Kudo may have lost from $7 million to as much as $30 million because of the crash.

According to the police, the body was found on Saturday morning in a Lamborghini Urus car. Next to the deceased was a gun registered in his name. Investigators, forensic scientists and a forensic expert worked at the scene. According to the BBC, citing police findings, the day before Hanicz told his family about his depression caused by financial difficulties and wrote a farewell letter.

Later, an entry confirming his death appeared on the blogger's Telegram channel. “Konstantin Kudo died tragically. The causes are being determined by the investigation. We will inform you about all further events,” it was written.
Controversy surrounding the death of an investor
However, as reported by Unian, the largest independent news agency in Ukraine, the version about suicide is questioned by some cryptocurrency investors.

The Unian agency adds that the investors who entrusted Kudo with their funds include officials and influential people. “There is also information that he helped the intelligence authorities and other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and at the beginning of the full-scale invasion he provided a lot of ammunition and medicine to Kiev fighters.” According to the agency, Kudo's friends claim that law enforcement officers allegedly put pressure on the blogger on the eve of his death, demanding shares in part of the generated profits.
Who was Kostya Kudo?
Konstantyn Hanicz was 32 years old, he was the founder of educational projects about cryptocurrencies, including: Cryptology, Key Trading Academy and Key Screener and chairman of the Association of Traders of Ukraine. His social media accounts were followed by over 70,000 users, and in the industry he was considered one of the most recognizable Ukrainian experts in trading digital assets.
In 2023, Kudo reported that his own cryptocurrency accounts had been hacked, causing him to lose approximately $800,000. dollars. In a recent interview, the trader said that he was forced to close one of his projects due to the fraud of a business partner who stole his access to cryptocurrency wallets.
