Fibris has been operating in Przemyśl since 1959. As “Gazeta Wyborcza” reminds, the company got into trouble after the Russian invasion of Ukraine and since then its situation has been deteriorating. It is mainly driven by rising production costs, especially the price of energy, of which it consumes an exceptionally large amount. For several months, many employees have not received remuneration or only part of it. The crew complains that they have nothing to live on.
In February, the company submitted a restructuring application, but it was not accepted until early April. Meanwhile, ZUS blocked her accounts and collected several million PLN towards the debt. — We asked to stop these activities, but ZUS abused its position – Karol Rębisz, financial manager of Fibris, tells “Wyborcza”. So far, no negotiations with ZUS have yielded any results.
