Republican President Donald Trump ordered the army on Saturday in a fourth city of the US, Portland, and authorized “the use of force if necessary”, in its actions to combat crime in the metropolises and states led by democratic politicians and where there are protests against the expulsion of the illegal migrants, according to AGP.
“I ordered the secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth, to carry out all the necessary troops to protect the warland devastated by our ICE (N.red immigration police) under the siege of antifa and other internal terrorists,” Trump wrote on the SA TRUTH Social platform.
“I also authorize the use of maximum force if necessary,” he added, without specifying what he understands.
In the city of Portland, there are several months of protests against the ICE Police (ICE), an institution that implements Trump's measures to combat illegal migration, a phenomenon under control during former Democrat President Joe Biden and who fed the crime.
The President Republican threatened in early September that he will send the national guard in this northwestern city, the largest in the Democratic state of Oregon.
Trump signed two weeks ago an executive order regarding the troops of the National Guard in the city of Memphis in the state of Tennessee, to combat criminality. City with a majority population, Memphis is led by a Democrat mayor, in a state with a Republican governor.
According to Los Angeles, where in June there were violent protests against the expulsion of illegal migrants, the National Guard was also held in mid August in Washington, the federal capital. Donald Trump has also threatened to send additional police and military personnel to Chicago, New York and Baltimore.
He signed an executive order on Monday that classifies the antifa movement, which brings together groups that claim antifascist, as a terrorist organization.
