Survey. Georgescu's legacy. How to divide the votes of the electorate that supported the candidate forbidden by the CCR last year

The common candidate of gold and can, George Simion, manages to attract almost all Călin Georgescu's voters, shows the data of an opinion poll conducted by Atlasintel on April 10-13, 2025.

  • The Atlasintel survey was conducted on April 10-13, 2025 on a sample of 2,994 respondents, by the random digital recruitment method, has as universe the electorate in Romania and has an error margin of ± 2 percentage points at a level of 95%.

According to the research, Simion would have voted for 86.9%of Georgescu's voters, while the rest of the votes are divided into: Victor Ponta – 4%, another candidate – 3.1%, does not vote – 1.9%, Elena Lasconi – 0.2%, Daniel Funeriu – 0.1%.

On November 24, 2024, the independent Călin Georgescu obtained 22.94%, Elena Lasconi – 19.18%, Marcel Ciolacu – 19.15%, and George Simion – 13.86%. Subsequently, the elections were annulled by the Constitutional Court, and Călin Georgescu's candidacy for the election of May 4, 2025 was rejected.
