Canada will be the sixth country that will finance the purchase of American equipment and ammunition for Ukraine as part of the initiative of US President Donald Trump Purl. Canada's contribution will be $ 0.5 billion – NATO said on Sunday.

– I am appreciated for Canada for financing the package of American military equipment for Ukraine – said the secretary general of the Alliance Mark Rutte. – NATO allies still provide the necessary equipment and supply, ensuring that Ukraine receives what it needs to defend in the pursuit of a fair and lasting peace – he emphasized.

He also declared assistance for Ukraine, he also declared in Kiev by Prime Minister Canada Mark Carney, who took part in the celebration of the Independence Day of Ukraine on Sunday.

The PURL initiative (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) consists in providing Ukraine with American equipment, the costs of which are covered by European countries.

In mid -August, Germany announced a package worth $ 0.5 billion. Shopping for over 1 billion euros declared the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Sweden even earlier.

Carney said during the speech in Kiev that $ 1 billion from the G7 announced in June in Canada will go to Ukraine next month. These funds will be transferred to strengthen the Ukrainian arsenal by delivering drones, ammunition and armored vehicles.

The Canada Prime Minister was the only guest invited to the Independence Day ceremony, who spoke to the gathered, next to President Volodymyr Zelanski.
