The national team Under 19 of Romania, directly qualified at the final UEFA U19, will be part of Group A and will meet Denmark, Spain and Montenegro. Vlad Munteanu, the sports director of the FRF, believes that it is possible that the selected one led by Ion Marin reaches the semifinals phase.
The parties in the group phase will be played on June 13-20, and the representatives from the first 2 places at the end of the group phase qualify in the semifinals of the competition. The semifinals are scheduled on June 23, while the final will take place on the Giulești stadium on June 26.

Vlad Munteanu: “If we do not want, we do not deserve to be at such a tour”
The Romanian team was distributed in Group A, together with Denmark, Spain and Montenegro, at the final tournament of the European Championship. “It is possible to reach the semifinals. If at this level we do not want to reach above it means that we do not deserve to be at such a final tournament,” said Vlad Munteanu.
“It is a heavy group, even if Montenegro tells us nothing now. It is a qualified team for the first time at the European Championship, but if we look at what qualification group it comes from, we realize that it is a good opponent.”pointed out the Federation official.
Clear message for Romanian football supporters
Which at the conclusion of the statement said that: “I encountered generations in which the pressure of participating in a final tournament at home said its word. An example is also the U17 lot. But there were generations that have been loaded with the support of people in the stands, families and friends. So it depends a lot on them, because the psychological part is an important one.”
In Group B of the competition that will be hosted by stadiums in Bucharest (Giulești and Arc de Triomphe), Voluntari (“Anghel Iordănescu”) and Ploiești (“Ilie Oană”) will evolve the teams of Germany, Norway, England and the Netherlands.
I think supporters should look at the younger generations because in 4-5 years these players will get to play on the National Arena for the first representative of Romania. It is a generation U19 that promises a lot and that with the matches of this final tournament will accumulate experience
Vlad Munteanu, FRF sports director
The Romanian team, prepared by Ion Marin, qualified directly at the final tournament. Romania had not participated in a final Under 19 tournament in 2022, when it lost all three matches.
