In Novi Sad, the second largest city in Serbia, Police and SNS supporters, loyal to populist President Aleksandar Vucic, were absent when dozens of anti -government protesters began to break the windows from the offices of the government, throwing out and sprinkling the paint.
The protests in Serbia began after the November tragedy, when the roof of the Renovated station in Novi Sad collapsed and 16 people died. The daily demonstrations shook the popularity of Vucic and SNS.
On Thursday, demonstrations took place in other areas of the country.

President Vucic said the arrests will continue.
“I think it is clear that they will not have peace (…). There will be more arrests,” he told the Private Informer TV.
Also on Thursday, the Minister of Internal Affairs presented the balance of Wednesday's events, when he claims that 27 police officers were injured and around 80 civilians, and 47 people were detained.
The protesters blamed corruption for the disaster in the Station of Novi Sad and demand anticipated elections in the hope that they will remove Aleksandar Vucic and SNS from power.
Students, opposition groups and anti-corruption organizations have accused Vucic and its allies of connections with organized crime, using violence against political rivals and suppressing the freedoms of the press-accusations that they deny.
