The Polish MP flows in the Sumud Flots. “I appeal to the president and prime minister to protect us”

MP Franciszek Sterczewski, taking part in the Global Sumud Flotilla, appealed to President Karol Nawrocki and Prime Minister Donald Tusk to protect the flotilla, as the rule of Spain and Italy did. This is an absolute minimum – he noted.

At night from Tuesday to Wednesday, activists from the humanitarian global Sumud flotilla, flowing with the help of the Gaza Zone to the population, reported that their ships were attacked by drones. The Italian spokeswoman for the flotilla reported that the: Italian, English and Poland units were hit. Polish co -organizers of the initiative announced that Poles, including MP Franciszek Sterczewski, were on board the Polish unit.
In order to protect and save the humanitarian flotilla on Thursday, Spain and Italy sent ships.
Sterczewski believes that the drone attack on the flotilla should be treated in the same way as the attack of Russian drones on Poland; He argued that – according to international law – the ship on which he sailed until the attack is Polish territory. – I demand consistency from politicians, also from my club colleague and minister, whom I respect for many things, i.e. Radosław Sikorski – said on Friday at TOK FM.
He also emphasized that an international debate was needed not in the context of the attack, but in the Gaza Strip. – All countries that have this opportunity together with large non -governmental organizations should immediately launch the humanitarian corridor to save these people – said the MP.
– I appeal with all the power from this place to President Nawrocki, to Prime Minister Tusk to protect the flotilla, as the Spanish government did, as the Italian government did – said Sterczewski.
He noted that this is one of the activities that the president and prime minister should take. – This is simply the absolute minimum, but besides that they do everything in their power to end the genocide to launch a real humanitarian corridor that can save these people. This is really a moment that is a test for our humanity and it may be too late in a while – he said.
Sterczewski, reporting events from Tuesday to Wednesday, reported that the evidence secured after the drone attack was provided to relevant investigating institutions. – We are also considering notifying the Polish prosecutor's office, we are still talking about this matter with lawyers – he added.
On Thursday, the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Teofil Bartoszewski reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs monitors the situation related to Global Sumud Flotilla; On Thursday, the Israeli ambassador was in this matter. – We have a crisis staff, which is in constant contact with its counterpart in Israel – said Bartoszewski at Polsat News. – I will meet with a crisis staff tomorrow. We monitor the situation. We expect that this flotilla, about 50 fishing boats, can get to Israel's territorial waters probably on Saturday – he added.
Bartoszewski also emphasized that from the beginning of the war he has been asking not to travel to Israel and the Gaza Zone.
