The Ukrainian service of military information (HUR) published a telephone interception on Sunday in which a woman from the Russian region Belgorod expresses her indignation after, according to her, a Russian war plane had thrown a bomb in a populated area. The incident brings to the attention of the many cases in which Russian ammunition fell right on the territory of Russia, during the invasion of Ukraine.

This claims that the flight devices involved belonged to the Russian army: “And those were our planes. They were detected on the radar and, to avoid being hit, they threw (bomb) on a vegetable garden. Why fly over populated areas? ”.
“Accidental” bombing on Russia's territory
Such incidents are not a rarity. According to Kyiv Independent, cases in which Russian ammunition fell on their own territory have repeated throughout the war. Washington post reported last year that, between April 2023 and April 2024, Russian planes threw bombs on internal targets almost 40 times.
One of the most serious episodes took place in April 2023, when a Russian bomb missed the target and caused a huge crater right in the center of Belgorod.
