Krasnoyarsk can become a platform for the World Youth Festival. This was told by the governor of the region Mikhail Kotyukov during the annual message.

Last year, the festival was held in Sochi. According to the results of the forum, the country's President Vladimir Putin decided that such events will be held in the country regularly.

“The application for the next festival was submitted by the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Now we are participating in the competition, there are large and difficult discussions. If this initiative is supported, we have to accept 10 thousand participants, of which 5,000 are from other countries. There were no so many guests in the history of the region. Neither at the Universiade, nor at the Spartakiad of the peoples of the USSR, ”said Governor Mikhail Kotyukov.

The head of the region noted that this is an “extremely grandiose task”, which gives opportunities for the development of universities and infrastructure of the city.

“You need to seriously prepare for this event, taking into account the experience of organizing major events. I hope that we will actively combine the efforts of the city, land, federal bodies and youth institutions, ”Kotyukov said.

Recall that last year the World Youth Festival united young leaders in the fields of science, education, politics, international relations, volunteering, sports, entrepreneurship and culture. The festival in Sochi was visited by a delegation of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
