Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised on Tuesday that he will act until the “victory” in the war in Gaza, at the beginning of the annual ceremonies of commemorating the fallen soldiers for the defense of Israel, AFP reports.

“In the name of the missing and in their honor, we will continue our mission until the victory, including the return of all our hostages” held on the Palestinian territory from the attack launched by Hamas on October 7, 2023, said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a video broadcast by his office.

“The vital force of our people will triumph over the cursed assassins who attacked us with terrible cruelty,” he added.

Benjamin Netanyahu made these statements at the beginning of the ceremonies occasioned by the Day of Memorial, on the eve of the 77th anniversary since the creation of the State of Israel, while the war against the Palestinian Islamist Movement entered the 19th month, and the negotiations for the release of the hosts are in the present.

At 20:00 (17:00 GMT), the mermaids called all over the country for the traditional minute of retreat held on this day of tribute to the fallen soldiers for the defense of Israel and the victims of the attacks, notes AFP.
