In the Yenisei district, a man will go to the colony for the murder of a stepson who threatened the family with a knife

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a resident of the Yenisei district will go to a maximum security colony for killing his stepson.

The prosecutor’s office said that in early January 2025, a drunken stepson came to visit the 51-year-old resident of Podesovo. In addition to the man, his wife and daughter were at home. The young man quarreled with relatives and began to insult his stepfather and mother. At some point, the guy took the knife in the kitchen and began to threaten them with murder.

“In response, the man grabbed the knife from the stepson and inflicted four blows to him in his neck and chest. He died of injuries. After that, the defendant in a car took the body of the victim into the forest and buried in the snow. Witnesses of the crime – the mother and sister of the victim left for the holidays in the capital, and after 10 days the man surrendered to law enforcement officers, ”the prosecutor’s office said.

At the trial, the man pleaded guilty, but explained that he had no intent to kill. He was simply scared for his life and the life of his wife. The court found him guilty of the murder (part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and sentenced him to 7.5 years in prison with serving in a maximum security colony.
