The Investigative Committee announced the completion of a criminal investigation against seven residents of Krasnoyarsk and Abakan, aged from 24 to 65 years old, accused of organizing prostitution and involving other persons in it.
According to the investigation, in 2019-2020, a 65-year-old Krasnoyarsk woman created an organized group in order to make a profit; the attackers found a premises in the regional center, which, under the guise of a massage parlor, was used to provide women with paid sexual services.
“The members of the organized group, who performed the functions of administrators, controlled the activities of women, met clients, provided them with information about the types and costs of paid sexual services, kept financial records, ensured the activities of establishments, and monitored compliance among women with discipline. One person involved was responsible for the economic support of the establishment. The organizer independently recruited at least five women into prostitution,” the Investigative Committee said.

Currently, the investigation has collected a sufficient evidence base, and therefore a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 241 and part 1 of Art. 240 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation was sent to the prosecutor's office for approval of the indictment and subsequent transfer to the court for consideration on the merits.
