Investments in companies have fallen again, but there is hope for the horizon

The last quarter of 2024 brought a further decrease in a decrease in new investments ( – 8.4% y/y) – according to the study of fast monitoring of the NBP. However, the planned scale of increase in expenditure and the share of continued investments increased (up to 93%).

A significant increase in the cost of newly started investments is suggested by a possible revival of enterprises' investment activity in the following quarters. Investment forecasts in public enterprises have improved particularly strongly.
